Richard was born in Kent, England. After studying at the University of London, he joined the RAF initially as a Fast Jet Navigator (a little bit like being 'Goose' in the film 'Top Gun' - but thankfully with a happier ending!!) After a stroke of luck, he got the opportunity to do what he really wanted to do - and retrained as an RAF pilot. The majority of his RAF flying was spent working in and around places east of the UK that have had a fair amount of media attention in recent years. On retirement from the RAF, he decided to relocated to the New Hampshire, USA with his family. A job opportunity brought him and his family back across 'The Pond' to continue in the Aviation Industry. He usually has his camera close at hand and hopes that you enjoy at least some of the images he has captured.
Thanks to John for raising the question about the Fine Art America watermark! This site is hosted through my account with Fine Art America, so the images are stored with them.

Richard was born in Kent, England more years ago than he cares to remember - or in fact, can remember!! After studying Physics and Astrophysics at the University of London, he joined the RAF initially as a Fast Jet Navigator (like being 'Goose' in the film 'Top Gun' - but thankfully with a happier ending!!) After a stroke of luck, he got the opportunity to do what he really wanted to do - and retrained as an RAF pilot. The majority of his RAF flying was spent working in and around places east of the UK that have had a fair amount of media attention in recent years. On retirement from the RAF, he decided to further his horizons and relocated to the USA. Opportunity has very recently brought him back across 'The Pond' to continue in the Aviation Industry. He always has his camera close at hand and hopes that you enjoy at least some of the images he has captured.
